Police ID PA Man, Others In Crash That Killed Dad, 4 Daughters
Police have identified the Pennsylvania man and others involved in a horrific car crash that killed a father and his four daughters Friday.

TOWNSEND, Del. – Police have identified the Pennsylvania man and others involved in a Delaware car crash that killed a father and his four daughters on Friday. The crash happened just before 4 p.m. on Route 1 in Townsend, Del. when a Ford F-350 pickup crossed the grassy center median, hitting two cars and killing five people.
Brian C. Kern of Bethlehem, 24, was struck first by a pick up truck that had crossed the median. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.
The truck then collided with a minivan driven by Audie Marquez Trinidad, 61, of Teaneck, N.J. He was wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Delaware State Police.

The driver of the Ford was identified as 44-year-old Alvin S. Hubbard Jr. of East New Market, Md. Hubbard was transported to an area hospital, where he was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries, police said. He was wearing a seat belt, and it is unknown at this time if driver impairment was a factor.
Also in the van were Trinidad's four daughters: Kaitlyn, 20; Danna, 17; and 13-year-old twins, Melissa and Allison, all of whom were not properly restrained and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

The 53-year-old mother, Mary Rose Ballocanag, who was wearing a seat belt in the front passenger seat, was transported to a local area hospital in Delaware where she was admitted with serious injuries, authorities said. She was last reported to be in stable condition.
Hubbard's passenger, a 30-year-old man from Hurlock, Md., was wearing a seat belt and was also transported to a local area hospital where he was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
Hundreds gathered at a memorial service for the Trinidad family on Saturday night. Students at Teaneck High School were also making T-shirts to remember their classmates who were killed in the crash.

Flowers and other notes were left at the Trinidad house for each family member who died.
