Police Investigating Attempted Car Theft In Newtown Township

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Newtown Township Police are investigating the attempted theft of a vehicle on Wednesday in the 200 block of Leedom Way in the Newtown Crossing/Liberty Square Development.

A residential security camera captured what appears to be five young adult males dressed in dark clothing, dark coats, and face masks with their hoods pulled up entering several unlocked vehicles, police said.

The suspects eventually tried to steal a Hyundai Tucson, but were unsuccessful, police said.

Police remind residents to lock their vehicle doors and remove all valuables from inside.
