UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — Three suspects attempted to steal an ATV from a home in the 800 block of Dolington Road early Thursday morning before they were scared away by the homeowner, police said.

Police said they don't believe the theft was random.

Prior to the incident, the ATV was advertised for sale via a social media.

"Although there is no indicators in the posting of the seller's address, there is a way that those with nefarious intentions can find the exact location of where the photo was taken," police said. "Geolocation data embedded in the photo will reveal the GPS coordinates of where the photo was taken."
