Police Make DUI Arrest, Investigate Tesla Vandalism In Newtown Twp.
In other reports, police investigated a theft from a shed in Wrightstown and cited an intoxicated man at a township restaurant.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between March 21 and March 27:
March 21
- At approximately 8 p.m. police were dispatched to ACME Markets on West Road for the report of a retail theft. The investigation is ongoing.

- At 7:25 p.m. police were dispatched to a Newtown Township restaurant for the report of an intoxicated man. As a result of the investigation, the man was cited for public drunkenness.
March 23
- At approximately 1 a.m. police were dispatched to a single-vehicle traffic accident into an embankment in the area of Swamp Road and Neshaminy Drive. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The driver was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
- At approximately 5:30 p.m. police were dispatched to a parking lot on West Road for the report of criminal mischief to a Tesla Cybertruck. The damage was done with a broad tip marker along the driver-side door area, police said. Once police obtained video from the vehicle, four local juveniles were quickly identified. No charging decision has been and the incident remains under investigation.

- At approximately 10:30 a.m. police were dispatched to a Wrightstown Township residence for the report of a theft from a shed. The investigation is ongoing.
March 27
- At approximately 1:35 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Chevrolet sedan for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Summit Trace Road. As a result of an investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.
