Free Touch-A-Truck Day Rolls Into Newtown Township
Youngsters are invited to stop by the park to see, touch, and climb aboard the big, hardworking trucks they see driving around the township.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Newtown Township’s popular “Touch-A-Truck” event rolls into the township on Tuesday, March 31 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Veterans Park, 234 Durham Road, Newtown.
Presented by the Newtown Township Parks and Recreation Department, youngsters are invited to stop by the park to see, touch, and climb aboard the big, hardworking trucks they see driving around the township.
Showcasing their vehicles at this year's event will be the Newtown Township Public Works Department, Newtown Ambulance, Newtown Township Police, Newtown Fire Rescue, Durham School Services, among others.

"This is an opportunity to explore a variety of trucks and vehicles," said event organizers. "Come learn how these vehicles work and operate."
Attendees should come prepared to hear vehicle horns being sounded as part of the event. "We recommend noise-cancelling headphones if you or your child is sensitive to loud noises.”

Everyone is asked to access the park by using the Wrights Road entrance at the Newtown Elementary School. The parking lot at the Newtown Elementary School will also be available for overflow parking. The Durham Road (Route 413) entrance will be closed early Tuesday morning and throughout the duration of the event.
The event is free and open to the public.
