Prayer Gathering In Washington Crossing To Reflect On Recent Violence

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — A Regional Prayer Gathering will be held at The Crossing (Washington Crossing United Methodist Church) on Sunday, September 14 beginning at 3:30 p.m.

"In light of recent acts of violence, we, as spiritual leaders invite our community to unite in prayer, lament and comfort," reads a social media posting advertising the event.

Those events have included the slaying of a woman who was riding a train in Charlotte, N.C., and the political assassination of conservative activist Charles Kirk.

The gathering is open to the public. The church is located at 1895 Wrightstown Road, Washington Crossing 18977.
