Activists will take to the streets Monday evening in Newtown, in opposition to nominees selected for Donald Trump's cabinet.
The protestors say they'll rally against the president-elect's "climate denial cabinet" during a march and rally at the Newtown Friends Meetinghouse. The rally featuring speakers will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a march and candlelight vigil at State Street and East Center Avenue.
The local activists are participating in a nationwide day of action against the president-elect's picks for the Environmental Protection Agency, energy secretary and secretary of state. They hope the rally will urge Pennsylvania's senators to reject Trump's selections.
