The Race For Congress In Bucks Co: How Every Municipality Voted
Brian Fitzpatrick has been re-elected in Bucks County. See which municipalities went for him, and which went for Wallace.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Republican Brian Fitzpatrick has won another term in Congress, fending off Democratic challenger Scott Wallace to prevail in the 1st District. The hotly contested race attracted interest from around the country, with major media outlets watching to see if the Democrats could pull off the flip here in Bucks County.

In the end, though, Wallace fell short to the tune of 8,743 votes.

So how does that break down at the municipal level?
Fitzpatrick prevailed in the traditionally GOP-leaning towns in central and northern Bucks County. His biggest margin was won in Northampton Township, where he beat Wallace by more than 3,300 votes. He also had a strong showing in the Southamptons, as well as Hilltown Township. (See full breakdown below)

Wallace prevailed in the Democratic-leaning boroughs of Bristol, New Hope, Newtown, Yardley, and Morrisville, as well as winning in several Lower Bucks townships, including Bristol, Falls, and Lower Makefield.
In Bucks County, Fitzpatrick racked up a total of 152,291 votes to Wallace's 140,968. A sliver of Montgomery County is also included in District 1. Wallace bested Fitzpatrick in that county, getting 19,130 votes. Fitzpatrick earned 16,550 in Montgomery County.
Overall, the Democrats retook the House, securing 219 seats. Republicans retained control of the Senate.
