Registration Deadline Is Saturday For Halloween Window Painting Competition

NEWTOWN, PA — Registration is now open for the annual Newtown Halloween Art Scene event, which features window painting around town. Festivities will be held Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The deadline to register is Oct. 11. The event rain date is Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year, the event will include the annual window painting contest on State and Sycamore streets . The cost to participate is $5 a window. Click here to register. The deadline to register is Oct. 14.

Participants must paint a family-friendly freehand image that has a fall or Halloween theme. Windows are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Participants must bring their own brushes, paper towels, tarp to protect windowsill area and sidewalk, water and a container for cleaning brushes

One window will be assigned to each artist or group. Requests for specific windows may be honored, if possible.

Artists younger than 13 must have adult supervision at all time. Prizes will be awarded.
