The Newtown Business Association is seeking cars for its annual antique car show.

The Antique & Classic Auto Show will be held on Sunday, July 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on State Street. The show will feature more than 160 cars in all makes and models from 1900 to 1992. This year’s Marque car is the Shelby.

"This event is attended by thousands of spectators," organizers said in an announcement.

Cars from all decades are welcome (up to 1992).

If you're interested, you can register in advance on at www.NewtownBA.org. The fee is $15 through July 1. Same-day registration is available if space permits for $25. For questions, contact the event's Committee Chair, Rich Napoli, at 267-753-2711.

The event rain date is July 16.

Here are some more details:

In order to have the judging completed more quickly and impartially, trained judges will score each car according to a uniform set of guidelines.
Trophies will be awarded to: Best Car in Show, Best American Car, Best European Car, Best Asian Car, with a Special Marque Trophy for 2017 to a Shelby (up to 1992). Trophies will also be presented for each of the following 12 classes: 1900-1929; 1930-1939; 1940-1949; 1950-1959; 1960-1969; 1970-1979; 1980-1992; Modified-Custom Class (includes Street Rods up to 1992); Foreign (up to 1992); Corvettes (up to 1992); Trucks (up to 1992); and Special Interest.
Special Interest cars: photo & description must be emailed to head judge Scott McDonald at smd95@hotmail.com to determine eligibility.
