Reign (well RAIN) or Shine--the Show goes on, --it always has, always will

Whats happens at the Village Renaissance Faire when it rains. The same thing that happens every other day at the faire, people play, learn, and entertain. in 2006, when all other events cancelled and the delaware bridges were closed as the water was too high to pass, the Faire went on. Dancers danced, singers sang, knights battled, crafts were made, artisans exhibited, food was tasty, and people enjoyed, laughed, and returned. This past set-up weekend was no different, nor will this coming weekend. Everyone is ready to entertain you, and take you back through history at festival tyme. Nothing could be better.

So, come enjoy the Village Renaissance Faire September 15 & 16, on the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds between 11:00 am. and 6:00 p.m. like thousands before you have done each day, and you will not be disappointed. And, although it will be hard to imagine it is so, as those who attend still cannot fathom, the event is not only an incredible family value but all proceeds help the Village Library of Wrightstown,so for $10 for adults, $5 for students, and under 5 FREE, its a bargain that you feel even better doing as you know all proceeds go to a great cause. Thats why its now aptly called A Faire for a Cause.

The 19th Village Renaissance Faire creates an interactive world where attendees of all ages suspend disbelief and take an entertaining, educational, and engaging stroll through the arts, history, and literature. For a mere pittance, faire goers encounter jousting knights, dangling aerialists, and flying birds of prey. But that’s not all! Shows and activities cover a range of ages and interests and surround the faireways, stages and grounds. Performers from Period Productions, bring literature to life with shows and fairground encounters based on a new storyline each year. Danger shows feature a working trebuchet, living chess, archery, and fire-breathers. For the music lover, there are dancers, musicians, and madrigals at every turn.

While the wee ones are preoccupied with free children's crafts, a kids kingdom, and children’s shows, like juggling, story-telling and puppetry, there are plenty of fine artisans featuring clothing, jewelry, pottery, and giftware to browse. Visiting historians are treated to living history with working artisans featuring black-smithing, glass-working, and woodworking. The Fun for all is not yet over, as all ages can enjoy our medieval gaming glen, thrown weapons, Fight-a-Knight, pony and carriage-rides, petting zoo, inflatables, and so much more. When the need for a rest overtakes guests, they can enjoy a festive turkey leg while listening to music or gazing upon art.
