Renaissance Faire for a Cause-NEEDS you to Volunteer

Attend the 16th Village Renaissance Faire for FREE…and also help make it affordable and better for all-----VOLUNTEER Openings Remain for ALL

One of our community’s grandest accomplishments is how a small library, can produce an authentic Renaissance Faire, that attracts 9000 visitors annually …. HOW… …..volunteers. Founder and volunteer Faire Director Ken Hone cannot rave enough about how the faire has grown as a result of community support from business donations, sponsors, and of course the priceless donation…hundreds of volunteers who help everyone take a step back in tyme every September by spreading the word, performing, or staffing faire. He says, “although our faire family is big, everyone feels welcomed, valued and knows they are making a difference, as the Faire is for a Cause—the public library and its year round free programs.” He is quick to add, there is always a need a more volunteers, as he has dozens of activities he would love to add, all he needs is you!!!Hone knows that there have been a lot of state law changes about volunteers, but he wants people to know that volunteering still is easy as well as rewarding.Teen volunteers can still earn their community service credits as we are an approved non-profit, and adults, well, state law has been recently changed to allow for free state background checks for adults, just contact us, and we will help you volunteer, and volunteer easily.

Support the public library & have fun too by being part of the 16th Annual Village Renaissance Faire for the benefit of the public library! This all volunteer community event attracted over 9,000 in one weekend last year, can use you help to bring history alive through interactive performances, crafts and activities. Volunteer activities are already ongoing with pre-faire activities do you want to help develop our volunteers, performers, and sponsors; revise and improve our publicity, programs, and sets; distribute/post information electronically or in person to expand the scope of our appeal and publicity; develop new ideas--some of the best ideas come from outside

Volunteer opportunities are available during the faire which runs 11-6 daily on September 19-20. We ask volunteers to work anywhere between 2 to 8 hours a day, between the hours of 10:30 & 6:30, your choice. Our duties are varied, so there is a time, place, and way anyone can be involved in making a difference
