Rep. Kristin Marcell Appointed To House Appropriations Committee
She'll also serve on the Professional Licensure and the Aging and Older Adult Services committees.

HARRISBURG, PA — State Rep. Kristin Marcell (R-178) has been appointed to the House Appropriations Committee, one of the key bodies that crafts the annual state budget.
“It is an honor to be chosen for a committee so critical in shaping the future of Pennsylvania and supporting the state’s economic and educational strength,” Marcell said. “This appointment allows me to use my background in education to make sure our students are able to receive a quality education and meet tomorrow’s challenges, balanced by a tax policy that is fair.”
Marcell previously served on the Council Rock School Board.

Marcell has also been appointed to the Aging and Older Adult Services Committee and the Professional Licensure Committee.
The House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee is responsible for all programs and services available through the State Lottery Law, such as PACE/PACENET and senior transportation programs, long-term care from a resident rights standpoint, and other aging agencies.

The Professional Licensure Committee reviews bills related to the state’s diverse professional and occupational licensing boards overseeing businesses as diverse as physicians, pharmacists and funeral homes.
Marcell added, “I look forward to bringing the concerns of my district to the table in each committee this session.”
(The 178th House legislative district includes Wrightstown, Warwick and Upper Southampton townships and part of Northampton Township)
