NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Dave Marcolla celebrated the grand opening of his new residential, luxury and commercial boutique real estate company on Saturday with a ribbon cutting and by launching a first-of-its-kind home buying incentive program for the area's first responders.

Marcolla was joined at the event by Newtown Township Police Chief John Hearn, State Representative Perry Warren and members of the Newtown Fire Association as he cut the ribbon on Marcolla Realty and announced the launch of a first responders program.

"We want to thank our first responders and make it easier for them to enter into home ownership so we're launching our first responders program where if you work with us to find your dream home we will give you up to $3,000 at closing to help you furnish your home," said Marcolla. "We thank you for all that you do," he told the assembled first responders.

To officially kick off the program, Marcolla, the nephew of a volunteer fire chief who has since passed away, presented the first responders with a check for $2,500 as a thank you for everything they do to keep the community safe.

The event also included an open house offering raffles, prize giveaways and light refreshments provided by Calm Waters Coffee, Mamie Colette's Bakery and from Playa Bowls.

"This is a pretty exciting day for me," said Marcolla. "I came to Newtown 23 years ago and had the opportunity to open the Commerce Bank. Much like Commerce Bank was, we're all about service and about the experience," he said of his new company.

"We want our clients to really feel their experience was above and beyond and that our tagline, 'Expect Better,' was met," said Marcolla. "And that we kept the stress levels down, we made it simple and we made the purchase and sale of their home an enjoyable experience."

Marcolla Realty, which opened in March, focuses primarily on residential properties in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, mostly within an hour of Newtown. "We'll have five agents here. We're keeping it small and focused on a high-touch, best-in-class experience for our clients," he said.

Commercial transactions will be handled through Tucker Realty, a commercial real estate brokerage located in Bensalem which Marcolla acquired last year.

Marcolla, who also serves as the president of the Newtown Business Association, said the new company will also have a strong community focus as exemplified by its first responders program.

"I believe community is everything. I couldn't have made it to where I am in my career without people lifting me up," he said. "My uncle was our town fire chief growing up and I knew about the commitment, time and impact it had on his family and how important it is to give back. That's always been in my blood and I've always found ways to do that while growing my business."

After working in the corporate world, Marcolla made the move to real estate six years ago, generating nearly $3 million in sales during his first year on the job. By the close of 2022, he and the real estate group that he led closed $78 million in property transactions in and around the Newtown, Bucks County area.

Dave has more than 20 years of sales, marketing and financial services experience. He's worked in and called Eastern Pennsylvania and Central New Jersey home since 2000.

When not helping his clients achieve their real estate goals, he serves as chair of the board of directors at Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia and is president of the Newtown Business Association. With a passion for historic architecture, he's also spent many weekends restoring numerous historic homes.
