Richboro Elementary School Holds 5th Annual Geo Bee

Richboro Elementary School students stun schoolmates, teachers, and parents with in depth knowledge of geography.

Ten Richboro Elementary School students stunned schoolmates, teachers, and parents on January 26th with in depth knowledge of geography at their school's 5th Annual Geo Bee. Utilizing official questions from National Geographic, RES Geo Bee host and CRSD Social Studies Coordinator, Mr. Dean Hentz, kept contestants on their toes through several difficult rounds. Students proved their knowledge by answering such extensive questions as, "Iowa and Missouri both share boundaries with what state on the Mississippi River?", "What is the smallest and most densely populated country on South America's Pacific Coast?", and "What group of volcanic islands is off the tip of Morocco?". A winner was decided after five exciting tiebreaker rounds, with everyone agreeing that all contestants displayed a winning knowledge of geography.
