NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Newtown singer/songwriter Matt Dorsey will celebrate the worldwide release of his new album, “Frozen in Amber,” with a hometown performance at the Newtown Theatre on Sunday, November 20 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Critics who have heard the album say it portrays the patience, focus and artistry of the next generation of music while preserving the iconic guitar sounds of artists such as Eric Clapton. The
first single from the album was released in late September, followed by two more singles in October.

“This Sunday’s concert will be an exciting opportunity for friends and neighbors to catch a rising star on our local stage,” says Christine Edmonds, Newtown Borough resident. “ We all travel to Philadelphia and New York to see concerts, often forgetting our homegrown talent- playing at a really beautiful and historic venue.”

Dorsey added, “Growing up in Tennessee in a culture and a community deeply rooted in music, I have a yearning to foster that same type of togetherness and bring that culture to Bucks County and the surrounding Philadelphia community. There is so much history associated with our Newtown Theatre, and I have been proud to help bring live music back to the stage there over the past few years. It is only fitting that as my album releases worldwide, that I would support our local community and have this first release show be at a place that is so special to me, my family and all of our neighbors in this wonderful town.”
