Road Closures Announced For Newtown Halloween Parade
This year's parade will step off at 9:30 a.m. from the Stocking Works on South Main Street on Saturday, Oct. 29.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Newtown Borough Halloween Parade steps off at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29 from the Stocking Works on South State Street.
In person registration will take place between 8:30 and 9 a.m. with costume judging scheduled for 9 a.m. This year's best costume categories include: Best Homemade Costume, Group Theme, Halloween Horror, Halloween Humor, Pampered Pets, Parent & Child, Cutest Couple (any group of two, Storybook and Fantasy, TV & Movies and Best Float.
At 9:30 a.m. the Council Rock North Marching Band will lead a parade of costumed characters north on State Street to Greene and east on Greene to Brian Gregg Memorial Park where the winners of the costume contest will be announced.

Parking will be restricted on South State Street between Centre Avenue and Washington (no exceptions) beginning at 8 a.m.
Anyone parked in the Newtown municipal lots will only be allowed to exit via Centre Avenue and travel west toward Sycamore Street.

The following road closures begin at 9:15 a.m.
- South State Street from Barclay to Jefferson
- Greene Street from State to Congress
- North Congress from Washington to Jefferson
- Liberty Street from Washington to Jefferson
- Washington between the municipal parking lot and State Street will be closed at the start of the parade.
- Centre Avenue Bridge will be closed at the start of the parade.
For anyone attending events at the Newtown Theatre, North State Street at Jefferson Street will be open to local traffic.
