Road Closures Announced For Newtown Memorial Day Parade
Parking restrictions and street closures are scheduled for Monday morning, May 29 for the Newtown Memorial Day Parade.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — This year's Memorial Day Parade will step off at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 29 from the Newtown Commons, 642 Newtown-Yardley Road, and will conclude at the Newtown American Legion, Morell Smith Post 440, at 41 Linden Avenue.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 29 parking will be temporarily banned on the following streets:
- South Elm Avenue between Washington Avenue and Centre Avenue
- Centre Avenue between Lincoln Avenue and Congress Street
- South Congress Street between Centre Avenue and Washington Avenue
- State Street between Greene Street Street Centre Avenue
The following roads in Newtown Borough will be closed beginning at 8:30 a.m.

- Washington Avenue between Terry Drive and Sycamore Street
- Lincoln Avenue between Greene Street and Penn Street
- State Street between Jefferson Avenue and Centre Avenue
- Centre Avenue
- Congress Street
Road closures for Newtown Township will include:
- Richboro Road between the Newtown Bypass and South Sycamore Street
- South Sycamore Street between Washington Avenue and Cambridge Lane
- Newtown Yardley Road between Terry Drive and Elm Avenue
"Parking will be available in the municipal parking lots. Allow extra time if you are traveling through Historic Newtown during this most solemn day of respect," said police.
