Road Closures Announced For Street Fair Fundraiser In Newtown

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — South State Street between Centre Avenue and Penn Street will be closed on Sunday, Sept. 18 for the Newtown Rotary NextGen street fundraiser for A Woman's Place. The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Beginning at 8 a.m., parking will be restricted on South State Street between Centre Avenue and Penn Street (no exceptions) and on Penn Street between South State Street and Court Street (no exceptions).

The Newtown Borough Municipal Parking Lots will be open.

Beginning at 9 a.m., South State Street will be closed between Centre Avenue and Penn Street.

Anyone attending this year's event is encouraged to use Washington Avenue and to park in the borough parking lots. South State Street from Lincoln Avenue to Penn Street will remain open for local residents.
