Safety Detail Takes Trucks Off The Road In Newtown Township

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown-Makefield Truck Enforcement Unit conducted a commercial vehicle safety detail in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Campus Drive on Sept. 21.

During the detail, 19 trucks were stopped and inspected. Two trucks were placed out of service, and four citations and nine warnings were issued for violations that were found.

The unit is made up of officers from the Newtown Township, Newtown Borough and Upper Makefield Township police department.
