Santander has leased a 2,643 square foot space - formerly occupied by Barre3 - in a free standing L-shaped building at the eastern end of the shopping center. It will share the building with Urgent

The bank will turn the space into a “much more upscale, digital, community value branch,” said Dan Graziano, senior vice president and district executive for the bank. “It’s going to be an enhancement for the community.”

The front of the new bank will face Durham Roads. It is located next to Urgent Care.

Bank officials said they will be making a number of cosmetic changes to the building, including extending the facade upwards 90 feet with the addition of a decorative dormer on the roofline facing Durham Road.

The new branch won’t have a drive through, but the building will be outfitted with a walk up ATM kiosk, bank officials said.

Based in Boston, the bank has branches throughout New England and in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
