See The Proposed 2018-19 Council Rock School Calendar

A new draft of a proposed Council Rock school calendar for the 2018-19 academic year has been shared by the district administration. It will be up for approval during a Jan. 18 school board meeting.

The calendar was most recently revised on Dec. 14. The following changes were made from a previously shared draft: the October 10 and March 8 early dismissal days have been changed from K-12 early dismissal to K-8 early dismissal.

"This change will provide additional high school instructional time to make up for high school level Professional Learning Community scheduling needs," the district said in an announcement.

The first day of school under the proposed 2018-19 calendar is Sept. 4, 2018 for students in grades K to 6, as well as those in 7th and 9th grades. All students report on Sept. 5. The last day of school would be June 14, 2019 if no makeup days are needed.
