See Rock-Themed Halloween Show 'Frankenstein Rocks' At BCCC
Frankenstein Rocks is a romp with music inspired by The Ramones, Twisted Sister, Motley Crue, and AC/DC.

Bucks County Community College will present “Frankenstein Rocks,” a comedic rock musical that explodes onto the stage for four shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 26, 27 and 28.
“Frankenstein Rocks” opens at the Kevin and Sima Zlock Performing Arts Center on the Newtown Campus at 7 p.m. Friday, October 26; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, October 27; and 3 p.m. Sunday, October 28.
Based on the classic horror tale by Mary Shelly, “Frankenstein Rocks” was conceived by Brian Albert, who wrote and directs the musical, and composed and wrote the musical score.

“I wanted to create a show for Halloween that would become a new tradition for the season that everyone could enjoy,” said Albert, an accomplished actor and musician who has performed in more than 1,500 live performances. “I was tired of old standards like ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show,’ and even though haunted houses and hayrides are a lot of fun, they only last 10 to 25 minutes.”
According to information from the college, “Frankenstein Rocks” is a PG-13-rated romp with music in the style of 1980s hair metal bands. “My inspirations are The Ramones, Twisted Sister, Motley Crue, AC/DC, Quite Riot, and, of course, the king of horror rock himself, Alice Cooper,” Albert said.
