See Stanley Kubrick's 'The Shining' At Newtown Theatre Oct. 25

NEWTOWN, PA — You may have seen "The Shining" but have you seen it on the big screen?
You'll have the chance this month. Stanley Kubrick's classic horror film will be screened this month at the Newtown Theatre. The theatre, on State Street in Newtown, will show the film on Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m.
The 1980 adaptation of Stephen King's horror novel stars Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall.

It follows the story of a family who is staying at a hotel for the winter, where a former caretaker murdered his wife and children. During the winter of isolation, the father (Jack Nicholson) turns violent and his son sees horrific forebodings from the past and future.
'The Shining' is rated R.

The cost is $10 for adults; $8 for seniors/students; $7 for children 12 and younger; and $5 for all theatre members.
