See The World's Biggest Rubber Duck This Week

What has been described as the world’s largest rubber duck—coming in at 61 feet—will float down the Delaware for the Philadelphia Camden Tall Ships Festival this week.

The event will be held this Thursday to Sunday, June 25-28.

The 11-ton, vinyl duck, which has a Facebook profile, will be at the festival all four days. He’ll be located on the Camden side, south of the RCA pier, event spokesperson Craig Samborski said.

The colossal rubber ducky is the latest version of an iconic floating sculpture originally created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, according to Visit Philadelphia.

In addition to the gigantic ducky, the festival will feature more than a dozen international and domestic ships.

Vessels include Philadelphia’s official Tall Ship, Gazela, as well as the US Coast Guard’s Barque Eagle. Ships from Canada, France and Brazil will also be on display.

According to Visit Philadelphia, Tall Ships is an annual event that is rotated throughout the Great Lakes and Pacific and Atlantic coasts.
