Severe Storm Watch Issued Saturday Across Eastern PA
Forecasters say the storms are "fast moving." People spending time outdoors should closely monitor the conditions.
Strong storms are possible Saturday afternoon and evening across the Philadelphia region. The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the entire region. The watch goes through 7 p.m.
AccuWeather forecasters say the storms are "fast moving." People spending time outdoors should closely monitor the weather for rapidly changing conditions. "Move indoors at the first rumble of thunder," AccuWeather said.
In the Philadelphia region, the storms are most likely to arrive between 4 and 5 p.m., according to The Weather Channel.

The storms will come with high winds and even small hail is possible, AccuWeather said.
"The fast pace of the storms alone can contribute to wind gusts strong enough to knock over poorly rooted trees, break large tree limbs and cause sporadic power outages," according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Bill Deger.

The good news is that the storms will cause a cool down.
The air should be 8 to 15 degrees cooler Sunday compared to Saturday, AccuWeather said.
