NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A Love for Life is teaming up with the historic Newtown Theatre to
present a benefit showing of the movie, "Purple Rain," to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research.

The event is taking place on World Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day on Thursday, Nov. 21 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Released 40 years ago this year, “Purple Rain” tells the story of The Kid (Prince), a Minneapolis musician on the rise with his band, The Revolution. While trying to avoid making the same mistakes as his truculent father, The Kid navigates the club scene and a rocky relationship with a captivating singer, Apollonia.
