Slumped-Over Driver Had Heroin, Syringes: Upper Makefield Police

Upper Makefield Police seized 34 packets of heroin, syringes and a crack pipe after finding the slumped-over driver near Pineville Road.

UPPER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA -- Police in Upper Makefield seized 34 packets of heroin, syringes and a crack pipe after locating a driver who was slumped over the steering wheel near Pineville Road, according to authorities.

A resident called 911 after seeing the slumped-over driver on Three Ponds Lane, which is just off Pineville Road.

"Thanks to this person, officers were able to recover 34 packets of heroin, 3 syringes, a crack pipe, along with additional drug paraphernalia and were able to get the driver treated by the medics with St. Mary Emergency Services," police said via Facebook.

The driver, who was not identified, will have a future court date.

"We truly appreciate all of you being vigilant as we share a common goal, to help keep Upper Makefield one of the safest communities in the county," police said.
