Sorry Lower Makefield Residents, Your Property Taxes Could Go Up in 2017
See the hit your tax bill could take.

Residents living in Lower Makefield Township are likely grimacing at the proposed 2017 budget as it contains a 2.35 mill property tax hike, according to township budget documents.
The millage rate would be set at 17.51 mills, meaning a property assessed at $100,000 would have an extra $1,751 on its tax bill if the budget passes.
The proposed 2017 budget is expected to bring in $6.29 million in real estate taxes, which is nearly $378,000 more than the 2016 budget was planned to bring in.
