A Spiritual Journey from Self, Friendship, to Community
Wrightstown Quaker Meeting Sunday School lessons for this Fall
In the face of a rapidly changing world, what might we do to help young children develop inner confidence, positive relationships, and the ability to better the world? The Sunday School (called First Day School by Quakers) at Wrightstown Friends Meeting offers engaging lessons and activities where confidence, meaningful relationships, and bettering the world do happen.
In October, we will explore different components of “self” and the connections between mind, body, and spirit. The goal is to help children to better understand themselves and make better decisions for key parts of their lives.
November’s theme will concentrate on defining true friendship and the significance of Quakers being called the “Society of Friends.” We will also discuss how Friends help and support each other in making difficult decisions, and how we must give thanks for the beauty in this world.

For December, we will link concepts of self and friendship to broader groups of people and learn about the history, people and culture of our faith community. As Holiday approaches, we’ll explore ways to discover and create spiritual gifts.
Wrightstown Friends Meeting is located at 535 Durham Rd, Newtown, PA 18940. Quaker services for worship based on silence are held each Sunday from 10 to 11 am and Sunday School classes from 10:15 to 11 am. Children join us for the first 15 minutes and leave for Sunday School at 10:15. For our detailed program, visit us at https://www.facebook.com/WrightstownMonthlyMeeting/. If you have questions, contact Gloria Denoon at 267-544-7213.

This coming Sunday, October 1, meeting time will be extended for a “Meet & Eat” where we celebrate World Quaker Day by learning more about our balance with circus artist Nelson Camp. All are welcome to attend.
