Spring Event To Send Teams On Scavenger Hunt Through Newtown

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Who doesn’t love a scavenger hunt? A fun-filled weekend for all ages is coming up on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5 in Newtown Borough.

Teams are invited to sign up now for the outdoor, family-friendly scavenger hunt that will take teams on an adventure through Newtown Borough on a hunt for landmarks, historic sites and much more.

Teams are invited to play at their own pace over the two day weekend event as they benefit the Newtown Library Company, a nonprofit organization run by a community of volunteers. The cost is $25 per team.

Teams will receive a packet via email at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 4. The packet will include two lists of items to find and photograph, including 10 “Gold Star” locations in Newtown.

To compete for prizes, turn in your packet to the Newtown State Street Starbucks by 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 5. The three teams that find the most items will win prizes. And a goodie bag will be given to all children ages 0 to 13 at the judging.
