Star Watch Event Planned In Newtown

Grab your telescope and head over to Pickering Field later this month for a Star Watch event.

The event will be held on Friday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. and is organized by Newtown Borough Recreation Board.

The evening will include a presentation by the Bux-Mont Astronomical Association, plus an opportunity to enjoy the night sky with your neighbors.

If it’s overcast on Oct. 16, the Star Watch event will be held the following day, Oct. 17.

Bring your telescope if you have one, organizers say.
