Storm Makes For Slick Tuesday Commute

PennDOT has restored the speed limits on the highways that had been reduced Monday due to the winter weather. “PennDOT is continuing to treat roadways in the area and will continue until roads are clear,” PennDOT said in a statement.

Route 202 has been reopened after an early-morning closure due to an accident. The road was closed until 7:30 a.m. in both directions between the Frazer and Paoli exits after a crash knocked down power lines, the Inquirer reported.
SEPTA is generally running on time, with a 10 minute delay along Paoli/Thorndale. “Please use caution during your travels as SEPTA platforms, vehicles, walkways and parking lots may be slippery, wet or icy,” SEPTA announced on its website.

Temperatures are expected to rise significantly Tuesday, with a high temperature of 58 predicted in the Philadelphia region. Rain is also likely, which could bring flooding.
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook, saying “moderate to heavy rainfall today may result in localized flooding of small streams, roadways and areas of poor drainage.”

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 38. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 41.
