Storm Takes Down Tree, Wires On Route 232 In Upper Makefield

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — A fallen tree has taken down wires and is blocking Route 232 (Windy Bush Road) just north of Pineville Road, Upper Makefield Police report.

Drivers can use Pineville Road, Buckmanville Road and Street Road to circumvent the closure, which happened Wednesday morning.

Another fallen tree has been reported by police in the 900 block of Taylorsville Road. The road will be closed between Mt. Eyre Road and Rt. 532 until the obstacle can be cleared.

More fallen trees have been reported on Lurgan Road. Police are asking drivers to avoid the roadway.

Flooding has also been reported along River Road near Francisco's On The River.

Although that section of roadway was reopened around 2:30 a.m., it had to be closed again due to flooding, police said.

Drivers can use Taylorsville Road to avoid the closure.
