String Of Vehicle Break-Ins, Stolen Truck Reported In Upper Makefield

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — Police in Upper Makfield are investigating a sting of vehicle break-ins and the theft of a truck over the weekend in two neighborhood located off of River Road just south of Washington Crossing.

Police are reporting that six vehicles were entered on Swayze Avenue, Wilkes Street, Cox Avenue, Washington Street, and Gilbert Street in the Wilkes Manor neighborhood and on nearby Oakdale Avenue and Maple Shade Avenue.

Police said several vehicles were entered with spare change and a pair of AirPods taken. In addition, a white Ford F-250 stake body truck was reported stolen from Oakdale Avenue.

Through their investigation, it appears the subject who is either a white or Hispanic man with a thin build, wearing possible cargo pants, a long sleeve shirt, a fisherman style hat, gloves and a fanny pack, was in the area between 1:45 and 3:15 a.m. Sunday morning. Officers obtained video from homeowners and published the photos on its Facebook page.

Police said although, the clothing appears red in the photo, it was not. Police also included a photo of the stolen vehicle.

"If you live along this section of River Road, we are requesting that you check your surveillance footage for this subject or the below vehicle being driven by your residence," police said. "Any video footage that you feel may be helpful would be greatly appreciated. Officers do have a lead and the investigation is on-going."
