Summer camp information session
Big Pine Day Camp to hold parent information session Saturday, February 6

Camp Concepts is preparing to launch their late summer camp experience at 1180 Bridgetown Pike in Feasterville-Trevose! Educator owned & operated, Camp Concepts has been designing and directing summer camps since 2003. Owner & Executive Director, Steve Haines, was a 20-year teacher at Newtown Friends School when he started working at George School Day Camp. After a short stint as division leader Haines became the Director where he served for 14 years.
Big Pine Day Camp is a 9-week summer experience for children ages 2-14. Our successful, Little Buds, is our youngest age division designed for campers ages 2-5. Their program is about hands on fun and creative play. Our junior campers, ages 6-9 participate in a variety of games and activities that include camp classics such as GaGa, Capture the Flag but also some unfamiliar games like Tchoukball, Jurassic Park, Ringmaster and more. Our senior campers do all of those fun games as well but also get additional choices such as archery, survival skills, various team challenge activities such as the ropes course, BMX biking, kayaking, fishing, etc. ”We draw on our many years of teaching games as PE teachers. For the past 20+ years I’ve lead a PE teacher training workshop called the Game Exchange. It helps keep our games fresh and the kids having a great time at camp.” Camp Concepts also hires teachers who serve as Activity Leaders and who understand large group facilitation skills.
Big Pine Day Camp has early morning care (as early as 7:00 A.M. as well as P.M. care until 5:30 P.M.) They can provide transportation and lunch is included for all full-day campers.
