Take An Exclusive Look Inside Newtown's Steeple View Condos

Wonder what the residential units in Newtown's Steeple View project look like? Come along with us as we take an exclusive tour.

NEWTOWN, PA — The residential component of the Steeple View development is taking shape in the heart of Newtown Borough. You know what it looks like from the outside, but are you wondering what the units look like on the inside?

We are here to quell your curiosity. Patch recently took a tour of some of the units, which are known as The Residences at 202 S. State, and we have some photos and information to share.

In total, there are 10 units. Three have been sold, leaving seven available, explained developer Allan Smith.

"No two are identical," Smith explained, as he showed off some interior features.

The custom units range in size from about 1,800 square feet to 2,700 square feet, and were designed by J. Robert Hillier of the renowned Studio Hillier in Princeton, N.J.

The first thing you'll notice when you enter, aside from the custom-made mailboxes amid the backdrop of Van Gogh's portrait of a postman...

....is the feeling of quiet solitude despite the building's setting on one of Newtown's busiest streets.

Smith said he went to great lengths to ensure the building was as quiet as possible. That includes the usage of cast iron pillars, commercial grade windows, and plenty of insulation and spray foam. The result: you can see the traffic pass from the windows but you can't hear the cars.

Once inside the units, you'll also notice some playful features, including a study that can quickly convert into a guest suite thanks to a pull-out bed, and secret doors that discretely connect living spaces.

Smith said the focus during design was to maximize the square footage. As such, residents will have access to space-saving features like a washer and dryer that disappears behind cabinetry, and an ironing board that pulls out from the kitchen island in substitute of a laundry room. (You'd never know the ironing board was there unless someone told you.)

The seven available units will be custom finished, with buyers selecting fixtures, flooring, kitchen design, and more. All have radiant heat throughout. Prices start at $975,000, according to Smith.

Here are some photos of the interior of the model home, which was designed by Nancy Gracia of Newtown's Bare Root Design Studio.
