Take A Peek Inside Newtown's Newest Coffee Shop

A new coffee shop is just weeks away from opening in Newtown Borough. The Coffee Room will open on State Street, just a few doors down from The Temperance House.

The Coffee Room on Tuesday shared a video via Facebook, showing a sneak peek of what the shop will look like:

"Things are really coming along in our shop and we appreciate your patience as we move into the final few weeks of getting The Coffee Room customer-ready!," the shop said in its Facebook post.

The Coffee Room will be located at 15 South State Street. It will seat around 30 people and will offer wifi.

Owner Margaret Kumar says in addition to coffee, a daily selection of baked goods and light lunch items will be available. Kumar is a 20-year resident of Newtown Township and mother of three.

"Newtown is a natural place for us to open. We love and are committed to Newtown and want to share in the community. We are hopeful that our shop will become a true destination for our friends, family and the whole community," she told Patch this fall when the shop's opening was announced.
