Take A Trolley Tour Of Newtown On May 20

This sounds like fun! A trolley tour around Newtown!

A special trolley tour of historic Newtown is planned later this month. Newtown Historic Association is organizing the tour on May 20. Tours are 40 minutes, and there will be five time slots.

Guests will hop aboard a Victorian trolley, and learn about the town's Colonial and Victorian heritage, as well as all about Newtown's architecture, according to organizers.

"We’ll also give you fun, fact filled stories you may never have heard about Newtown. Hessians? Quaker Bank Robbers and Horse Thieves? We’ll tell you all you want to know about William Penn’s “New Town” and maybe pick up a few ghosts and gravestones along the way," an event announceent said.

Tours will run at 12:15, 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, 4:15 p.m. You should choose your tour time when you purchase your ticket. There are a limited number of tickets for each slot.

Guests should arrive 15 minutes before their trolly departs. Tours leave from the Stocking Works, 301 S. State St., Newtown.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and younger. Children under 2 are free with an adult.
