Target Open Date Set For New Cocktail Bar, Distillery In Newtown

Triple Sun Spirits, a "relaxed yet upscale" cocktail bar, has set a target opening date for its Newtown Borough location.

The "ultra-premium small batch distillery" is currently planning to open its doors on July 6 on South State Street, Bar Manager Emily Funk said. She said, if all goes as planned, doors should open that evening at 5 p.m.

Triple Sun, which has a location in Emmaus, produces ultra premium rums, whiskeys and gins. It also offers special release collaborations with breweries, meaderies, cideries and wineries.

The tasting room at 126 South State Street will featuring handmade cocktails and local wine, beer, cider and mead with a focus on its own line of hand crafted small-batch spirits.

The tasting room will be designed to showcase its products for sale by the bottle, but guests can also enjoy local wine, beer, mead and cider in addition to premium hand made cocktails, company representatives said.
