Teen Social Media Usage Topic Of Raising Great Kids Series In Newtown

The event will include the showing of the documentary "Screenagers" and keynote remarks by the Bucks County D.A.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Council Rock Coalition for Healthy Youth continues its "Raising Great Kids" series with a free presentation on responsible teen social media usage on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at the Newtown Middle School, 116 Richboro-Newtown Road, Newtown 18940.

The program begins at 6 p.m. with remarks by Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub. He will lead an informative discussion on using social media responsibly.

After his presentation, the coalition will be showing the internationally acclaimed documentary, "Screenagers: Growing Up In The Digital Age."

The documentary has been screened more than 8,000 times to four million people in more than 70 countries around the world. It is the first feature documentary to explore the impact of screen technology on kids, offering parents solutions that work and helping millions of teens and their families navigate growing up in a world with instant access to screens.

The movie will be introduced by coalition president Francine E. Block and will be followed by questions and answers.
