Teens Rescue 98-Year-Old Woman After Fall In Newtown Borough
Newtown Borough Police say five local teens helped save an elderly woman who had fallen near Edgeboro Drive.

Newtown Borough Police say five local teens helped save an elderly woman who had fallen near Edgeboro Drive.
According to police, the incident happened Friday around 2 p.m., when police were dispatched to the 400 block of Edgeboro Drive for a report of an elderly woman who unable to walk.
When officers responded, they were met by a teenage boy who led him to the female. The boy was one of five Council Rock students cutting through the area when they located the woman on the ground, police said. The teens called 911 and helped the woman off the ground and into a chair.

The female was transported to the hospital for evaluation, according to police.
"We at the police department applaud these young men for assisting the female and getting her the assistance she needed. If they had not found her and called for help, this could have been a tragic ending," police said via Facebook.
