Newtown Township Police reported the following incidents and arrests between April 2 and 9.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Newtown Township police reported the following incidents and arrests between April 2 and April 9.
On April 2 at about 3:30 p.m., a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report that her wallet had been stolen and that fraudulent charges had appeared on her cards. According police, the detective division is investigating.
Later that day, at about 4:15 p.m., police were dispatched to Ulta Beauty on South Eagle Road for the report of a retail theft. The investigation is ongoing, according to police.

On April 5 at about 3 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Toyota sedan after a vehicle code violation in the area of Newtown-Yardley Road and the Newtown Bypass.
According to police, the officer detected the odor of alcohol when speaking with the driver.

Police said the driver was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results, police said.
On April 9 at about 9:30 a.m., a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report harassment. According to police, one person was charged with harassment as a result of an investigation.
No court dates or additional case updates were listed in the report. The theft investigations remained active as of the time the report was released, and the DUI case was awaiting blood evidence results.
