What Pennsylvania organizations are liked best by their employees?
Forbes has released a new list that identifies just that. Forbes’ first-ever best employers by state feature was released this week, and includes the top 60 organizations in Pennsylvania.
To come up with the rankings, Forbes completed an anonymous survey consisting of 50,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees. (You can read more about the methodology via Forbes.)

The results in Pennsylvania: the top employer is Johnson & Johnson. The pharmaceutical company currently employs 134,000 residents.
Other top employers include a mix of public and private agencies, including hospitals, universities and even county and city governments.

In doing its best employers by state feature, Forbes created a unique list for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Some employers took the No.1 spot on many state lists. Costco Wholesale and Google took the most No.1 spots, according to Forbes. Boeing also featured in more than one No.1 spot, Forbes writes.
