Three Charged With Passing Counterfeit Bills In Newtown Township
They are facing forgery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and criminal conspiracy charges.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Three suspects face charges after allegedly passing counterfeit bills at three different stores in Newtown Township.
On Sept. 19 at approximately 5:15 p.m., police were dispatched to Acme Market in the Newtown Shopping Center and to Dogs and Cats Rule and McCaffrey’s Food Market at the Village at Newtown for reports of counterfeit currency being used to purchase merchandise.
As a result of the investigation, three suspects were taken into custody and charged with forgery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and criminal conspiracy.
