UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — Most of the traffic accidents that happened in the township in 2022 occurred at three controlled intersections, according to information released by the police department.

Last year, police investigated 123 accidents, which doesn’t include crashes involving deer. In reviewing the locations of those accidents, police said the following three intersections were identified as the locations where the most accidents occurred:

  • Route 532 and River Road, a four-way stop near the entrance to the Washington Crossing Bridge - 11 crashes
  • Windy Bush Road and Street Road - 10 crashes
  • Taylorsville Road and Mt. Eyre Road - seven crashes

Twenty-three percent of the accidents that occurred last year happened at the three intersections, police said. All intersections listed are controlled by stop signs with Route 532 and River Road being a four way stop and the other two intersections being two-way stops.
