Tom Rush Returning To The Stage At Newtown Theatre

Rush's distinctive guitar style, wry humor and warm, expressive voice have made him both a legend and a lure to audiences around the world.

NEWTOWN, PA — The historic Newtown Theatre will present “An Evening with Tom Rush” on Saturday, June 13 at 8 p.m.

Now celebrating more than 54 years of touring, Rush’s impact on the American music scene has been profound. He helped shape the folk revival in the 60s and the renaissance of the 80s and 90s, his music having left its stamp on generations of artists.

talents of our times," says his publicist.

Rush’s distinctive guitar style, wry humor and warm, expressive voice have made him both a legend and a lure to audiences around the world. His shows are filled with
the rib-aching laughter of storytelling, the melancholy of ballads and the passion of gritty blues.

Tickets for the concert are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com for $45 per person or $40 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $55 at the door on the night of the show (if available). All seating is general admission.

Beer, wine, and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the show. The theatre is located at 120 N. State Street in Newtown Borough.
