Bus Transportation Issues To Be Aired At Council Rock Meeting
Since the beginning of the school year, school bus service has been interrupted and in some cases cancelled, according to the district.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Council Rock School District will hold a special Transportation Information Session on Tuesday, Sept. 13 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Holland Middle School to give the community a chance to ask questions directly to Durham, the district's new transportation provider.
Since the beginning of the school year, school bus service has been interrupted and in some cases cancelled by Durham, according to the district.
Residents are invited to attend the free information session. They can also submit questions in advance at Durham@crsd.org until Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 12 p.m. The session will be live streamed and available on Council Rock YouTube.

“We are concerned with the inconsistent bus service by Durham over the last two weeks,” wrote Superintendent Dr. Andrew Sanko in a letter to district parents last week.
Sanko reported that Durham had assured the district that they are working to resolve the problems with its bus service.

“Our expectation is that Durham will improve their bus reliability and communication as quickly and responsibly as possible,” said Sanko.
In an effort to keep the community informed and to provide relief for affected families, Sanko said Council Rock will implement the following beginning on Tuesday, September 13:
- Real-time bus updates will be available on the CR website in addition to the Blackboard texts and email notifications parents receive.
- Schools will open one hour early only for families whose bus is late or cancelled. The times of school openings for drop off are: High school, 6:30 a.m., middle schools, 7 a.m. and elementary schools, 8 a.m.
- The Trans Call Center will continue in operation until further notice. Call 215-944-1010 to speak to someone in the district offices regarding questions or issues. Parents can also email transportation@crsd.org with questions, comments and concerns.
