Tri-Township U15 Headed to Babe Ruth World Series
The team, which is made up of players from area towns including Newtown, begins play in Jamestown, N.Y. on Aug. 19.
The Tri-Township U15 Babe Ruth team is headed to the Babe Ruth World Series in Jamestown, N.Y.
The team came out on top at the Middle Atlantic Regionals, which finished up Sunday in Hamilton, N.J.
The team won the Pennsylvania state championship and went undefeated in Middle Atlantic Regional play.

Tri-Township’s home field is at the Middletown Grange. The team is made up of players from Newtown, Doylestown, Souderton and surrounding communities.
Tri-Township opened up regional play last Tuesday with a win over Ewing. The final score of that game was 14-3. Then on Wednesday, Tri-Township beat Kingsbridge, the Metro New York champion.

Tri-Township beat the Northern New Jersey champions, Basking Ridge, on Thursday by a score of 15-2. Then on Friday, Tri-Township beat Manasquan. Another win over Ewing on Saturday and a second victory over Manasquan by a score of 8-0 gave them the title.
The Babe Ruth World Series begins Aug. 19.
