Troop 29's Connor Boucher Earns Eagle Rank

Connor Boucher completed a service project, Let Sleeping Dogs Lie, for the Women's Humane Society as part of his rank advancement.

When it came time to choose his Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project, Connor Boucher decided to “Let Sleeping Dogs Lie”. Troop 29’s newest Eagle Scout led a project that benefited the Women’s Humane Society.

Inspired by his own dog Kevin, Connor chose the oldest animal welfare organization in the country as the recipient of hammock-style dog beds which were cut, sewn and assembled by his team of volunteers. Because the fabric used was donated by Alutex, Inc., most of the funds raised for the project were put toward the purchase of food and supplies for the shelter which were donated along with the custom-made dog beds.

Along his Trail to Eagle, Connor served his troop as Patrol Leader and Webmaster. He has attended summer camps with his unit at Ockanickon and Rodney Scout Reservations and traveled with them to Cooperstown, Washington, DC, and the United States Military Academy at West Point. He also enjoyed trips with his troop to Whitewater Challengers on the Lehigh River. Connor is a member of Order of the Arrow Ajapeu Lodge #2.
